Earlier this week, speculation arose that Joyce Bagala had joined the newly established Democratic Alliance party.
The rumors gained traction after posters bearing her image circulated on social media and were reportedly spotted at various locations in Mityana District, seemingly endorsing Mathias Mpuuga’s new political outfit.
However, Bagala has firmly denied the claims, stating that she remains a committed member of the National Unity Platform (NUP).
She emphasized that she has no plans to leave the party and has already collected nomination forms in preparation for the upcoming NUP primaries.
“I am still a member of the National Unity Platform, and I am preparing to represent my party in the coming elections,” she told local media.
Reinforcing her loyalty, Bagala made a notable appearance at the party’s headquarters in Kamwokya, where she took part in the extraordinary delegates’ conference that confirmed new party leadership.
