Singer-turned-politician Nina Roz has come out to set the record straight regarding her father’s recent arrest, dismissing reports that linked him to cattle theft.
It had earlier been reported that Mathius Nshemereirwe, the father of the Sembabule District Woman MP aspirant, was detained in connection with a cattle theft case in Rutunku, Lugusulu Sub-county, an area bordering President Yoweri Museveni’s farm in Kisozi, Gomba District.

Police sources indicated that Nshemereirwe was arrested on November 9, 2025, after another suspect allegedly implicated him in the incident. However, Nina Roz has strongly refuted the theft allegations, insisting that the matter was simply about a cow straying onto the President’s land.
Speaking out, the “Billboard (Kikole)” hitmaker, who recently suspended her political campaigns in protest of her father’s arrest, said the ongoing reports are nothing but propaganda aimed at tarnishing her family’s name.
“I wish to categorically address and dispel the false allegations circulating online regarding my father’s arrest,” Nina Roz said in a statement.

“Contrary to misleading narratives suggesting involvement in cattle theft, the incident arose when one of our cows unintentionally grazed into land associated with the current president Museveni. This was a land boundary issue, not a criminal matter of theft. We condemn the propaganda trying to distort facts for political gain. As a family, we are cooperating with authorities and trust that the truth will prevail”.,she added.
Nina Roz concluded by urging the public to remain calm and avoid spreading misinformation as the case unfolds.
