As the music industry continues to grow and expand, the Ugandan entertainment industry has managed to over the years produce more talented artists who have not only entertained audiences but also reaped huge sums from their music career.

Below is a list of some of the richest musicians in Kampala City.

1. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu 

A politician, actor, activist and pooulary known by his stage name Bobiwine, he is a former member of Parliament for Kyadondo County East Constituency in Wakiso District in Uganda’s Central region.

Bobiwine has not only made a name for himself in the music industry where he sang songs like For better for worse featuring Nubian Lee, Kiwani among others, but he has also earned huge from politics with an estimated net worth of $5million.

 

2. Grace Nakimera

Born on February 2nd 1985, Grace Nakimera is a Ugandan Gospel musician, composer and songwriter and known for her energetic performances.

She has however secured a herself a spot as one of the wealthiest musicians in the country, with an estimated net worth of around $320,000.

3. Dr. Jose Chameleon

With an estimated net worth of around $6.2million, Jose Chameleon real names Joseph Mayanja is an Afro beat musician who is famously known for singing in Luganda and Swahili language.

 

4. Geofrey Lutaaya

Believed to have joined the music Industry at an early age around  his 20s, Geofrey Lutaaya has been  is a talented band entertainer who has never looked back since then.

5. Bebe Cool.

Real names Moses Ssali, Bebecool is a Raggae and Ragga musician who kicked off his career around 1997 in Nairobi Kenya but later moved back to Uganda.

6. Eddy Kenzo

The 2022 Grammy Awards nominee real names Edirisa Musuuza, is a Ugandan singer, music executive, founder and President of the Ugandan Musicians Federation who was recently appointed as the Presidential advisor on Creatives.

Sitya loss hit maker has over the years managed to rise from grass to grace and topped both National and International chats which has earned him huge sums and reportedly aggregates to a net worth of about $11.4million.

 

7. Mesach Ssemakula

He is one of the most popular and most respected musicians in Uganda. Mesach Ssemakula is a legendary artist who has managed to tame audiences with his soulful voice and heartfelt tunes.

8. Juliana Kanyomozi

Born on 27th November, 1980 Juliana is a musician, entertainer and actress. She is a multiple award winning songbird, R&B, Afrobeat and pop singer.

9. Navio

Real names, Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, popularly known as Navio, is a Ugandan rapper and record producer who was part of the Klear Kut award winning hip hop group alongside the Mith and JB.
