Apart from the artists themselves, the Ugandan music industry has been defined by a number of things including the music producers who work so hard so as for the musicians to stay top notch.
These Producers are the masterminds behind most of the hit songs in the industry, and here, we take you through.
1. Nessim
Real name Isma Mukuuza, Nessim kicked off his career as a dancer, video shack collecting entry fees, and later joined Fire records owned by Bobiwine where he learned production skills.
Nessim then left Firebase only to join Badi Music production which was owned by Bashir Lukyamuzi aka producer Badi. He has over the years produced several hit songs including Mukisenge by Winnie Nwagi and Crystal Panda, Pretty Pretty by King Saha and Fefe Busi to mention but a few.
2. Daddy Andre
He is both an artist and a music producer who has been in the music industry for quiet a long period of time.
Daddy Andre is known for his hit songs like Tugende mu church, sikikukweka, folo folo among others. As a music producer, he produced songs like You and Me featuring Lydia Jasmine, which topped chats to mention but a few.
4. Artin Pro
Real names Martin Musoke, he has been in the music industry not quiet for so long but about five years and he has been a producer in different studios such as M.1 studio, Keiton and Jahlive studio until when he set up his own music studio dubbed Axtra Nation Entertainment.
He has in this case produced a number of hit songs including Bango by Rickman Manrick, Property by Fik Fameica, Yaka by Karole Kasita among others.
5.Diggy Baur
A Ugandan audio producer at Sound cover records and CEO at Sabula records who has worked with and produced mega hit songs for many top artists locally including Eddy Kenzo, Dr Jose Chameleon among others.
He has also managed to brand himself as one producer who scouts and unleashes new talented artists in the music industry.
6. Brian Beats
Real name Ndugga Brian, he began his music production career in church and has since become a prominent figure in the Ugandan music scene.
Known for producing hit songs like Ebyalagirwa and many of Chosen Becky’s tracks, he is one of the top music producers in Uganda, shaping the sound of Ugandan music.
8. Herbert Skillz
An award winning billboard top 20 UK number one hit maker, he has through his big brain managed to maneuver into the music scene and produced several hit songs including Every hour featuring Kin Bella, Busy loving you featuring A Pass among others.

9. Dan Magic
Dan Magic is a multi-award-winning audio producer and one of the top music producers in Uganda. He has worked with numerous local and international musicians and is currently signed to Bobi Wine, where he has recorded and produced many hit songs.”
10. Josh Wonder
Real names Joshua Ssentongo, he was born in 1994, born in Bugembe Jinja and started his career at an early age, since his father was a pastor, he begun from church.
He produced several top hit songs including Nince Henry’s Time, Nyongeza, Anjagala by Lyto Boss, Soka Laami by Naava Gray among others.
However, with the above topping our top 10 list, there are more music producers including Rinex, Bangar Boy, Steyn Music to mention but a few and all these through hard work and dedication, they have managed to improve and spear head Uganda’s entertainment industry.
