Renowned UgandanĀ  born -again Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has left his congregation stunned after announcing that the highly anticipated construction of the ā€˜Pentagon’ church would be delayed due to a lack of sufficient funds.

For years, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has been urging his church members to contribute financially towards the construction of the grand building.

Many devoted followers had been contributing money with the expectation that the project would soon break ground. However, during a recent sermon, the pastor revealed that the church was not yet ready to begin construction.

Speaking as the lead pastor of House of Prayer Ministries and the director of Salt Media Group of Companies, Pastor Bugingo explained that after meeting with his committee, they concluded that the funds raised so far were inadequate to start the project.

In 2019, estimates suggested that the church would need approximately 100 billion Ugandan shillings to complete the project. However, due to rising costs and changes in the economy, the required amount has now increased to 120 billion, with less than a tenth of this amount raised so far.

ā€œIt’s difficult to begin the foundation with less than a tenth of the required amount. Contractors need a 30% deposit, which equals 30 billion, but we have only raised about 7 billion. This is insufficient to procure materials and start the foundation,ā€ Pastor Bugingo explained.

The Pentagon construction project has been a subject of much discussion in the media, with Pastor Bugingo regularly updating his congregation on the progress and funds raised.

However, his recent announcement has sparked a wave of mixed reactions online, with some social media users mocking the delay and questioning the project’s viability.
