Media personality and wife to singer Daxx Kartel, Naluwooza Maureen, popularly known as Momo 19, is once again in the spotlight over fresh fraud allegations brought forward by a disgruntled victim.
The accuser, identified as Masaba Fostin, alias Masaba Media Channels, claims he was defrauded by Momo 19 after paying her UGX 7 million with the promise of securing a job and visa to the Schengen area.
According to Masaba, he first deposited UGX 5 million as agreed, and two days later, Momo 19 requested an additional UGX 2 million, saying it was required to finalize the visa process.

However, after making the full payment, Masaba says he was shocked to learn that Momo had passed on the responsibility of processing his visa to another woman, who ended up giving him fake travel documents.
When he reached out to Momo 19 for clarification, she allegedly told him she was in labor at the time, having just returned from Qatar, and he chose not to press further out of respect for her as a new mother.
Masaba states that when his visa was denied, he approached her again. She reportedly assured him not to worry and that his recent arrest would help expedite the paperwork. He agreed to wait, but only on the condition that she either secure the visa or refund his money.

Frustrated with unfulfilled promises, Masaba is now demanding a refund and has gone public with his claims. In a detailed social media post,as he appealed to the public and various online influencers and media figures to help him recover his funds
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to come to you for support and help me demand my money—7 million shillings. Momo 19, wife to singer Daxx Kartel, promised me a job abroad. I paid her 5 million initially, then another 2 million. She later gave the job of handling my visa to someone else, who forged my documents.
I tried contacting her, but she said she was in labor. When I was denied a visa, she reassured me that everything would work out, especially since I had been arrested—saying that would help with paperwork. I asked her to either deliver the visa or refund my money, and she promised to do one or the other. I even tried reaching out to her husband. Please, Ugandans, be careful with some so-called celebrities—they are faking lifestyles while conning people.”Masaba shared on his Facebook page in names of Masaba Media Channels.
Masaba also claimed that he quit his job in Qatar on Momo’s advice, believing that everything was ready and only needed his appearance at the embassy.
This is not the first time Momo 19 has faced fraud accusations. In 2022, she was accused of conning over UGX 40 million from 14 Ugandans living abroad under the pretense of helping them ship goods at a discounted rate.
As of now, Momo 19 has not made any public statement regarding these latest allegations. We will continue to follow the story and provide updates as they come.
