Former British boy band One Direction singer Liam Payne, 31, was found dead Wednesday after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Buenos Aires police said in a statement that Payne fell from the third floor of Hotel Casa Sur resulting in “severe injuries.” Medics confirmed his death on the spot, the statement said.
Liam had been in Argentina recently for a Niall Horan concert earlier in the month, and the 1D bandmates actually reunited at the show.
He was only 16 years old when he joined One Direction, the group became the biggest boyband in the world after their 2010 launch on “The X Factor.”
