The Lord Mayor of Kampala City, Salongo Erias Lukwago is in the Kenyan Capital Nairobi to seek medical attention following days of reported ill health, he has confirmed.
According to the statement he shared on his Official Socials, Lukwago disclosed that he was grounded at Nairobi hospital a couple of days while battling a spine / Cervical disc bulge that has compressed his nerve roots this causing numbness and excruciating pain at the back and left arm.

He, however exhibited his hopes and strength of better soon with God’s grace.
“Glad that I could afford some little smile this morning upon receiving this Easter gift from the Management of Nairobi Hospital, Kenya as some form of a tranquilizer. Have been grounded here at Nairobi hospital for a couple of days battling a spine/cervical disc bulge that has compressed the nerve roots thus causing numbness and excruciating pain at the back and left arm. By God’s grace, I will be fine.”he disclosed via his Official Facebook page.

This is the third time Erias has flown to Nairobi on medical grounds.
In 2020 , Lukwago was admitted at Nairobi hospital after being diagnosed with acute anaphylaxis which became persistent on treatment.
In 2021, still was flown to Kenya for further treatment days after he collapsed during a requiem mass for the late Kampala Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
