Ugandan dancehall artist Ziza Bafana has come out strongly against fellow musician Bebe Cool, criticizing his recent claims about controlling music playlists on local radio and TV stations.
Over the weekend, Bebe Cool, during a TikTok conversation, asserted that he has significant influence over which songs get airplay in Uganda.

According to the Gagamel boss, he can determine what music is played and can even block songs from artists who oppose him.
These remarks have not gone down well with Ziza Bafana, who accused Bebe Cool of stifling the progress of Uganda’s music industry.
In a heated response, Bafana stated that Bebe Cool’s ego and constant negativity are preventing upcoming artists from rising.

“You have a kind heart, but you’re keeping the industry backward with your ego and hate, many young artists are struggling because of you, and you’re blocking their growth. You won’t make it internationally either, because you’re cursed by the very people you’ve held back.”,Ziza Bafana said.
Bafana urged Bebe to shift his energy toward supporting and mentoring emerging talent instead of using his influence to suppress them.
He has yet to respond to the criticism. We’ll continue to bring you updates as more information becomes available.
