Singer Laika Music has announced that she will not return for the upcoming season of Kampala Creme, the reality TV show airing on Pearl Magic.

Laika Music joined the cast midway through the first season, appearing alongside Etania, Mummy Deb, and Zahara Toto. The show quickly gained attention for its dramatic scenes and on-screen tensions, but for Laika, the experience revealed a side of herself she wasn’t comfortable with.

“Being on the show brought out a version of me I wasn’t used to. I found myself constantly in conflicts, both on and off camera. It didn’t represent who I am. I value a peaceful, private life, but I was often provoked just to capture a reaction.”, Laika Music shared.

Laika had joined Kampala Creme as a replacement for Baby Gloria, who had exited following disagreements with the production team. Though the producers believed Laika’s personality would fit the show, she says she wasn’t close with any of the cast members, aside from a casual acquaintance with Zahara Toto.

Reflecting on her time on the show, Laika revealed that any budding friendships especially with Mummy Deb and Zahara Toto fell apart after season two.

“Whatever connection we had ended there. I saw their true colors, even during scripted scenes. They did some things I couldn’t ignore, and it made me distance .I’m not in touch with any of them now. I don’t like drama, and I try to keep away from toxic environments.”she said.

As for the upcoming season, Laika confirmed she has no involvement and little interest in what’s currently happening with the show.

“I’m not part of it anymore. I left after last season and haven’t looked back,” she stated.
