Swangz Avenue artist Veronic Lugya, better known as Vinka, has finally addressed the recent rumors about her pregnancy.
The speculation began circulating after a video of Vinka surfaced online, showing her with what appeared to be a noticeable baby bump during her recent appearance at the just concluded Roast and Rhymes festival. This led to widespread media reports suggesting she was expecting her second child.
However, during an interview at the Swangz Avenue All-Star Album launch, Vinka wasted no time in dismissing the rumors.
In a playful exchange with Spark TV, she confidently showed off her flat stomach, dressed in a cropped grey suit, and quipped, “You people said I was pregnant—where is the bump?”
She also took the opportunity to clarify her stance on having more children. She explained that there was no pressure for her to expand her family and that she would have a second child when the time was right.
“Leave my child to grow up. No one forced me to have her; I made that choice. When the time comes for a second one, I’ll have it, but I’m not under any pressure,” she said.
Vinka’s personal life has remained mostly private, but in February 2021, she surprised fans by revealing her newborn on Valentine’s Day, sharing a photo holding her baby’s hand after keeping her pregnancy a secret. She also shared a glimpse of what appeared to be a private wedding ceremony, introducing her husband, Nelly Witta, to the public for the first time.
It’s worth noting that Vinka isn’t the only celebrity to face such rumors. Several musicians, including Sheebah, have denied pregnancy reports, only to later confirm the news with visible baby bumps months later.
