Uganda Police is holding, Kaporonyo Sabiti, a 48 year from Namugongo in wakiso who is accused of hacking into mobile money systems of mobile money agents and steals money from their agent lines.
Sabiti was picked up ealier today from his residence in Namungoona in Wakiso and he is currently detained in Uganda Police cells.
According to Uganda Police, Sabiti made millions of Sbilings from hacking into mobile money systems by agents in Mukono, Jinja ,Misindye, Kiira division ,Kinoni and Nagalma among others.
Police carried out immediate search at his residence and discovered 4 Airtel lines and hacking machine and also his Toyota Harrier , registration number UBD 612P ,white in color has been impounded.
The police report further alleged that Sabiti customized his car registration number plates , believing that his car movements would not be detected upon getting his spoils
