In a recent media interview, former Golden Band member Stecia Mayanja addressed rumors about her relationship with fellow former band member, Carol Nantongo.
Stecia was quick to dispel any notions of animosity between them, stating that she holds no ill will towards Carol and respects her talent.
She also made it clear that she had been one of the individuals who supported Carol’s career development and saw no reason to harbor any hostility.
“I have no issue with Carol. Before my pilgrimage, I reached out to those I may have had conflicts with, apologized, and made peace. I’m among those who contributed to her growth as an artist,” Stecia explained.
She further clarified that any perceived tension between them is driven by external influences and that there is no bad blood on her side.
The roots of their alleged conflict date back to their time in Golden Band, when Carol accused Stecia of using witchcraft to undermine her, even claiming that Stecia chased her off the stage during a concert at Freedom City.
After a long hiatus, Stecia recently returned to Uganda from Canada, where she had been based for some time. She expressed excitement about resuming her music career and emphasized that she is at peace with everyone in the industry.
“It feels great to be back, and I’m at peace with everyone,” Stecia added
