Former Team No Sleep (TNS) songstress, Sheebah Karungi has shared an emotional and candid recount of her 12-hour labour, detailing the rollercoaster of emotions she went through as she welcomed her first child, Amir.
The singer, who gave birth on November 23, 2024, in Canada, took to social media to mark her baby’s two-month milestone and reflect on her journey to motherhood.
In her post, Sheebah revealed the anxiety she experienced in the days leading up to her delivery, confessing that she spent the week overthinking every possible scenario.
“I never slept that entire week. I was thinking of all the scariest things in the world. I was my own horror movie.”,she shared.
While the anticipation of meeting her son filled her with joy, Sheebah admitted that fear took over as the moment of birth approached. She had hoped for a natural delivery, believing it would help her heal quickly and get back to work sooner. However, the pain she endured was much more intense than she had expected.
In true Sheebah fashion, she arrived at the hospital looking stylish in a fur coat, lipstick, and boots, but her glamorous entrance didn’t last long.
“In three minutes, I had removed my wig and thrown it away,” she laughed.
Sheebah expressed deep admiration and respect for all mothers, acknowledging the strength of women who go through childbirth, whether naturally or via C-section.
After 12 grueling hours of labour, Sheebah successfully delivered Amir naturally, describing the experience as both incredibly challenging and rewarding.
She thanked God for guiding her through the process and offered blessings for her baby.
“Happy two months to my beautiful boy. May God bless and protect you for me,” she wrote.
Despite the pain and exhaustion, Sheebah emphasized that the experience was worth it, and the joy of becoming a mother far outweighed the struggles.
