Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, has expressed strong discontent with the New Vision newspaper for publishing an unfounded and malicious article about her relationship with singer Eddy Kenzo.
The minister was displeased with a story that appeared in New Vision newspaper, claiming that Eddy Kenzo was secretly dating her behind Rema’s back.
Taking it to her X account to address the issue, directly calling out New Vision’s boss, Don Wanyama, and voicing her disappointment with the newspaper’s actions.
Nyamutoro stressed that it was inappropriate for a national newspaper to operate like a blog, urging the publication to uphold higher journalistic standards.
“Dear New Vision @nyamadon, this is a national paper that should publish authentic news! It’s horrible to see you degrade your credibility to blog-status stories! Your journalists can definitely do better,” she wrote on her X account.
It should be noted that a few weeks ago, Eddy Kenzo and Nyamutoro formalized their relationship in a private kukyala ceremony.
