The Forum For Democratic Change ( FDC) faction of Najjanankumbi under Patrick Amuriat have threatened to drag Dr Kizza Besigye and his Katongo faction to court over misuse and abuse of their party instruments.
Speaking to NBS TV, Amuriat alleged that Besigye and his group are masquerading as FDC leaders and members as they carryout their ongoing consultative meeting across the country.
He furthered accused the Katongo faction of using the party instruments such as slogans and flag , stressing that their actions are violating the party constitution as he threatened legal actions against them.
“We are going to take legal action against this group (Besigye) not because they are running around the country but because they are misusing and abusing the instruments that are portraying the FDC,” Amuriat partly said.
It is should be that the two factions since last year they have been embroiled in unending fights upto now.
Besigye group accuse Amuriat faction of got questionable money from the government.
In November, Besigye criticised the FDC leadership in Najjanjumbi, branding them as “enemies of the nation” for ‘collaborating’ with the incumbent regime.
In February, Amuriat said they had embarked on reconciliation to bring back order into the house.
“We’ve been actively working towards reconciliation, and we’re pleased to see tangible results as many former members have returned to the fold,” said Amuriat,
However, as predicted by political observers, the reconciliation efforts seem to be fruitless as the feud between the two factions continue to deepen.
