Events promoter Nobert Events has broken his silence after his unexpected arrest in connection with the assault of presidential adviser Jennifer Nakangubi, widely known as Full Figure.
Nobert recounted being taken into custody without any prior warning and transported directly to the police station. Upon arrival, he was informed that he was being accused of involvement in the recent attack on Full Figure, which occurred last month.
Describing the experience as shocking, Nobert said the allegations came as a complete surprise to him.
He further explained that police officers asked him to record a statement, but he refused to do so until his lawyer arrived who joined him later that night at around 10 p.m.
It was only after consulting with his legal counsel that he agreed to cooperate with the authorities.
Following the interrogation, Nobert was remanded to Luzira Government Prison, where he spent close to a week before being granted release.
Since then, he has continued to assert his innocence, firmly denying any involvement in the incident involving Full Figure.
