Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro (Prime Minister) of the Buganda Kingdom, has dismissed claims suggesting a rift between Central Broadcasting Station (CBS) FM and musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine.
Addressing the media, he clarified that there is no animosity or ongoing issue between CBS FM and Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi.
“There is no issue between CBS and Bobi Wine. The frequency of his appearances on CBS is consistent with how often he features on other radio stations,” he said.
CBS FM, one of Uganda’s leading radio stations, is owned by the Buganda Kingdom.
Bobi Wine, the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has recently not been heard on CBS FM, leading to speculation on social media about a possible fallout.

Mayiga’s statement aims to put those rumors to rest, reaffirming the station’s commitment to impartiality and professionalism.
