Ugandan musician King Saha has threatened to sue TikTok content creator Dr Cephco, real name Ismail Ssefuko, for defamation.

The notice of intention to sue was issued through King Saha’s legal representatives, Wamimba Advocates and Solicitors.

According to the legal notice, on May 5, 2025, Dr Cephco posted a video on his TikTok account (@DrCephico), accusing King Saha of damaging his silver Toyota Noah, registration number UBP 661Q.

The statement allegedly made false and malicious claims that have seriously harmed the singer’s reputation.

King Saha’s legal team states that the claims were entirely baseless, noting that the artist was out of the country specifically in Japan at the time the incident was said to have occurred. This, they claim, can be substantiated through travel records and eyewitness accounts.

The video reportedly subjected King Saha to public ridicule, emotional distress, and reputational damage, including the potential loss of professional opportunities.

As a result, Saha is demanding UGX 200 million in compensation and has given Cephco a seven-day deadline to pay the amount. Additionally, he is seeking a public apology and a full retraction of the defamatory statements, to be posted with equal visibility on all platforms where the original video appeared.

The notice also instructs Cephco to immediately cease making any further defamatory remarks and to provide written confirmation of compliance with the demands outlined in the legal notice.
