Musicians Lydia Jazmine and Alien Skin faced disappointment after their shows in Canada attracted very few attendees.
They were scheduled to perform in Toronto and Edmonton on July 29th and 30th, 2024 respectively
But reports indicate that when Lydia Jazmine and Alien Skin arrived to perform in Toronto, only a small number of people were in the audience.
Various reasons have been suggested for the show’s poor turnout, but Lydia Jazmine attributed it to political issues and Alien Skin. She explained that many people in the diaspora are opposition supporters and did not attend the show because Alien Skin refused to support NUP’s leader, Bobi Wine.
“Personally, I was happy with the turnout in Toronto. Of course, there are not as many Ugandans there as there are Nigerians, but they still showed up. The show was affected by politics because I went there with Alien Skin, but I am happy for those who turned up,” Lydia Jazmine said in a YouTube interview.
