Ugandan singers Grenade and Rickman Manrick are considering settling their longstanding feud in the boxing ring.
The tensions between them escalated in September 2024, when Grenade and Rickman got into a bar brawl at La Terazza Bar in Kisementi, also involving Sheilah Gashumba.
The altercation, reportedly linked to their past romantic involvement with Sheilah, left Rickman with a cut lip, while Grenade had to lay low to avoid further trouble.
The two artists later crossed paths again during an interview at Galaxy FM studios. While Rickman expressed that he respected Grenade’s music, he admitted he still harbored personal issues with him. “I have no issues with Grenade and his music. My issues are with Grenade as a person, as Deus Nduggwa. I actually love his music,” he explained.

Despite this, Rickman refused to shake Grenade’s hand, stating, “I can’t. I have my issues with that and I cannot shake his hand.”
When the idea of a celebrity boxing match was suggested, Rickman was enthusiastic, ready to face Grenade in a closed ring. “Whoever is willing to organize that bout, I’m ready,” he said. Grenade, however, responded that he “would have to think about it.”
