Rickman Manrick Reveals Plans to Retire From Music to Football Coaching

Singer Derrick Ddungu, widely known as Rickman Manrick, recently announced his plans to retire from the music scene in 2028 through his X platform, Rickman expressed a strong desire to shift his focus towards coaching football, aiming to reignite his childhood passion for the sport.

Having previously played professional football for Swedish clubs like Sävedalen IF, Rickman’s football career took an unexpected turn due to a knee injury sustained a few years ago.

During his time off the pitch, he turned to music, recording several albums and songs that eventually propelled him to stardom.

Despite facing challenges early in his music journey, Rickman achieved significant success in 2019 with his hit song “Ebango,” which dominated music charts and gained popularity on streaming platforms. This marked a turning point in his musical career, and he became a notable figure in the industry.
