Last week, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) ordered the suspension of “Omususuzi,” a weekday morning show on Salt TV co-hosted by presidential advisor Full Figure and veteran actor Charles James Sekubunge.
According to an official notice from UCC, the decision was made due to the program’s “abusive content, use of inappropriate language, and unprofessional conduct” exhibited by the presenters.
In a public response, Full Figure expressed her dismay over the suspension, alleging that she is being targeted by powerful individuals who want to silence her voice. She remained defiant, saying she does not need Salt TV to continue her public life.
“I’m being fought by mafias who don’t wish me well, but I won’t give up,i can live without Salt TV. I haven’t done anything wrong. Others who consistently violate standards are allowed to stay on air, yet I’m being singled out through UCC.”she said.
She also criticized the Commission, labeling it “redundant” for allegedly turning a blind eye to other programs that she believes are worse in terms of professionalism.

The UCC stated that the suspension followed multiple complaints from viewers and was intended to serve the public interest.
As of now, Salt TV has not issued an official statement regarding the matter. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.
