Fresh Details Emerge On NTV’s Rita Tinina ‘s Sudden Death

Following the sudden demise of the NTV Kenya Journalist, Rita Tinina on Sunday on Sunday afternoon,fresh details have emerged surrounding her death.

Initial police report indicated that her sister had found the renowned National Media Group (NGM) Journalist unconscious in her bedroom inside her house in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

The sister had received a phone call from one of Tinina’s colleagues informing her that the deceased was found unconscious on her bed inside her bedroom in her house

“On arrival at the scene, the sister called in the assistance of emergency medical services whereby the paramedics confirmed that the body was already lifeless,” the report read in part.

It further stated that the late Tinina was living with her 8-year-old daughter and a househelp.

According to her health history provided to police by her sister, the deceased was suffering from epilepsy and had a severe fever that lasted five days before her sudden death

Police disclosed that no physical injuries were found on the body which was later moved to Umash Funeral Home in Nairobi. Meanwhile, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kilimani took over the case.

Earlier, it was reported that Tinina was meant to be on duty at NTV where she worked as an Output Producer, Broadcast Platforms at NMG but failed to report, a matter that prompted one of her neighbours who happens to be her colleague to go to her place to check on her.

The Nation Media Group, parent company of NTV Kenya, NTV Uganda, Spark TV, KFM, and other media ventures, expressed profound grief over her untimely passing, lauding her dedication and extensive experience in the field.

Having graced the media landscape for over two decades, Rita Tinina’s illustrious career saw her journey from NTV Kenya to Standard Group’s KTN before returning to NTV Kenya in October last year.
