Speaking in a recent interview with Sanyuka Television, Gashumba stated that he does not believe in the practice of women kneeling before their husbands,a tradition still upheld in some Ugandan cultures.

“I’m not interested in someone kneeling before me. Why should my wife do that?” .To me, it adds no value or respect. What matters in a marriage is responsibility and mutual respect. That’s all I expect from my wife, and she should expect the same from me.”,Frank said.

He emphasized that equality within the household is key to a strong, peaceful, and progressive family, especially for the benefit of the children.

According to Gashumba, a wife should have an equal stake in the home, contributing to a foundation built on unity and shared values.

Last month, Gashumba was officially introduced by his fiancée, Malaika Mutoni, to her family in Lwemiyaga—a traditional ceremony marking a significant step toward marriage.

He confirmed that wedding preparations are currently underway, and the couple will soon exchange vows in church.
