Renowned Masaka city based businessman , Emmanuel Lwasa has been charged and sent to Prison after failing to pay debt of shs.18M.

According to the reports, the debt that has landed Lwasa into trouble was incurred due to the advertisement he placed on one of local media station.

That the aggrived party tried to reach out to Lwasa to settle his debt but he failed, which forced the media outlet to file a formal complaint against Lwasa, accusing him of defaulting on a financial agreement.

Mr. Lwasa was required to attend a court session to defend himself against these allegations. However, to the dismay of the court and the creditor, Lwasa failed to appear, prompting the court to issue an arrest warrant for the businessman.

And over yesterday was apprehended and legal proceedings were started on to recover the outstanding amount.

He was subsequently sent to Prison to sleep there for number of days until the day of his return to court to defend himself , according to the viral video making rounds on social media.
