Singer Edrisah Kenzo Musuuzah, better known as Eddy Kenzo, has opened up about why he is not observing the fast during this year’s Holy Month of Ramadan.
Speaking to journalists, the Big Talent CEO shared that his health condition prevents him from participating in the fasting tradition.
The “Sitya Loss” hitmaker revealed that he suffers from ulcers, which make fasting difficult for him.
“I’m always honest about my situation. I don’t fast because of ulcers. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to fast because of that. But what I do is help others break their fast,” Eddy Kenzo explained.
He further expressed his gratitude to those who are fasting.
“I thank everyone who is fasting, and I wish I could also take part in it.”,he added.
Kenzo’s comments come shortly after fellow Muslim artist Bebe Cool also shared that his own battle with ulcers has kept him from fasting during Ramadan.
Ramadan for 2025 began on the evening of Friday, February 28, and will continue for 30 days, ending at sundown on Saturday, March 29. This sacred month is observed by Muslims around the world through fasting, prayer, and reflection, following the lunar Islamic calendar.
Though he is unable to fast, Eddy Kenzo remains committed to supporting the Muslim community by contributing to Iftar meals and engaging in charitable activities during the holy month.
