Renowned Ugandan musician David Lutalo has openly stated that he feels the need to take his children for DNA testing, citing deep issues with trust in his personal life.
Speaking in recent interview, the “Da Hares” artist revealed that he has already tested some of his children and is planning to take another for a DNA test soon.
David Lutalo explained that his decision stems from a general lack of trust not just in his partners, but in people overall.
“I don’t trust anyone in my life, and everyone knows that,Yes, I have to take the kids for DNA testing. I have one I’m soon going to test, although I forgave the other two. When I do it, I inform the woman, and even if she questions my trust, I don’t mind.”Lutalo said.
He added that even if he’s been with a woman for only a short time as little as two weeks he still wouldn’t take her word without confirmation.

Lutalo also expressed concern over the possibility of being deceived. He admitted that if he were to find out the children weren’t biologically his, forgiveness would be difficult, as he believes the betrayal could happen again. He said his mistrust partly stems from his own lifestyle.
“As artists, we’re constantly on the move, sometimes gone for over a month. I know that makes me a problem causer in the relationship, so I wouldn’t be surprised if temptation comes her way. But if I forgive her, knowing I’m part of the problem, I’d just be setting myself up for more pain,” he explained.
The singer concluded by reflecting on the challenges musicians face in maintaining stable family lives. “It’s hard to settle down and have a normal family as an artist. Those who manage to do so are truly covered by God’s grace.”
