singer Daudi Mugema has pointed fingers at Kadongo Kamu artist who turned politican Mathias Walukagga, accusing him of using witchcraft to derail his life and health.
In a recent interview with Spark TV, Mugema claimed that Walukagga’s alleged dark practices were behind his persistent illnesses and personal misfortunes, which have plagued him for the past few years.
According to Mugema, their fallout began in Masaka, specifically in the Nyendo area, when Walukagga declined an invitation to perform at his event. Mugema alleges that during this disagreement, Walukagga threatened to end his career.
Not long after, Mugema says he became critically ill for two years , a period he believes was influenced by supernatural forces.
“He told me to my face that he would end me. Shortly after that, I became seriously ill. What confirmed my suspicions was that everyone reached out to support me except him. He never called or sent even a message, despite knowing I had just left his show before falling sick. I’m not just speculating I’m certain he was behind it. He hasn’t only targeted me. Other artists, like Ssegawa, left the country and quit music under similar mysterious circumstances,” Mugema said.

These revelations have taken many by surprise, especially since Daudi Mugema publicly disclosed last year that he was battling stage one cancer.
In another interview with journalists, Mugema linked the onset of his health issues to an incident during his detention at Kireka police station.

Daudi Mugema recounted being forced to soak his feet in a basin filled with an unknown substance after he was arrested for his politically charged song “Wumula.” He believes this incident may have triggered the cancer diagnosis.
