After a hiatus from television, celebrated singer and media personality Herbert Kityamuweesi, popularly known as Crysto Panda, has made a triumphant return to NTV Uganda.
He has reclaimed his position as the host of The Vybe, a popular youth-focused music and entertainment show.
Crysto Panda’s media journey began at NTV in 2016 when he stepped into the spotlight as the host of T-Nation, following in the footsteps of Sheilah Gashumba. His energetic and relatable style quickly won over teenage viewers, making him a standout presence on the screen.
Although his first tenure at the Kampala-based station ended due to what he called “administrative changes,” Panda stayed active in Uganda’s entertainment scene.
He transitioned into radio, live event hosting, producing music and co-hosting TikTok Live sessions with singer Bruno K before their split.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, Panda officially confirmed his return via Instagram, posting a photo in front of an NTV banner with the caption: “East or West ……. Tune in Today at 2:30 PM NTV.”
His return was met with excitement across social media, with fans welcoming him back. Comments ranged from “Enroute to legendary status” on Instagram to “We missed you so much, happy that you’re back” on X (formerly Twitter).
NTV Uganda also celebrated the comeback on its social channels, encouraging viewers to tune in and send shout-outs during The Vybe, which airs weekdays at 2:30 PM.
Crysto Panda resumed hosting duties on Monday, replacing MC Esco, who had been holding down the show in his absence. For many fans, his return feels like a homecoming to the platform where his media career began and flourished.
