In a significant development in the property dispute between media personality Suuna Ben and his estranged partner Mary Nambwayo, the High Court has issued a restraining order prohibiting Suuna Ben from accessing his home in Garuga, Entebbe, Wakiso District.
The conflict has centered on a two-story mansion still under construction, located on Busiro Block 435, Plot 759 at Bukaya. Nambwayo claims co-ownership of the property, arguing that they jointly acquired the land and undertook its development. Despite Suuna Ben’s insistence that she vacate the premises, Nambwayo remains firm in her assertion of equal ownership.
On October 31, 2024, Judge Kagoda Ntende Samuel issued the court order to safeguard Nambwayo’s rights during the ongoing legal proceedings. The interim order explicitly bars Suuna Ben, as well as any associates—including employees or romantic partners—from taking any actions that could jeopardize the property’s title or ownership.
The court prohibits specific actions such as canceling the title, selling, transferring, constructing, mortgaging, leasing, or evicting Nambwayo and her representatives from the residence. This restriction will remain in place until the court makes a final decision regarding the temporary injunction sought in Miscellaneous Application No. 2871 of 2024.
The order states, “An interim order is issued restraining the respondent, his servants, girlfriends, or anybody deriving authority from him, from causing cancellation of the title, selling, transferring, constructing buildings, mortgaging, leasing, alienating, or evicting the applicant, her agents, children, or servants from the suit residential property known as Busiro Block 435, Plot 759 at Bukaya, Wakiso District, until the final determination of the main application for a temporary injunction under Misc Appl No. 2871 of 2024.”
