Speaking in a recent interview with a local YouTuber, she candidly expressed that skin bleaching is not only costly but ultimately offers no real benefit.

“Bleaching is expensive, and I don’t have the money for it,In fact, I think we should start respecting women who bleach because the products they use are very expensive, and maintaining that look requires constant investment.” Carol Nantongo said.

She went on to highlight that bleaching creams and cosmetics come with a high price tag, and upkeep is demanding especially when dealing with side effects or unexpected skin reactions.

Despite her remarks, Nantongo clarified that even if money weren’t an issue, she still wouldn’t bleach her skin.

She emphasized her deep appreciation for her natural skin tone, which she considers a gift from God.

Over the years, several female Ugandan artists including Spice Diana, Sheebah, and Lydia Jazmine have faced rumors of skin bleaching, though all have publicly denied the claims.
