Renowned Ugandan girl group, Blu*3’s reunion concert that had been scheduled to take place at Serena Hotel – Kampala on Women’s Day, 8th March 2024 has been cancelled.
According to one of the members of Blu*3, Cindy Sanyu disclosed the previously agreed-upon date of March 8th coincided with another event of fellow musician Ronald Mayinja and even the venue.
The clash led to a heated dispute with Ronald Mayinja, who believed that Blu3 reunion concert was attempt to rival his event.
In an effort to avoid further conflicts within the industry, Blu3, a respected figure in the industry and decided to cancel their Concert to allow Mayinja to go a head with his concert.
She further disclosed they are considering organising another reunion concert soon and new dates will be communicated.
” we had announced that the Blu3 concert will happen on 8th March 2024 but that date is scheduled for another concert. we have canceled but we will give you new dates for the concert”, Cindy disclosed.
The cancellation came as a disappointment to many, especially those who had already purchased tickets and were eagerly anticipating the event.
