Ugandan musician Moses Saali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, is seeking financial backing from President Yoweri Museveni to promote his upcoming album, “Break the Chains” , set for release on the 30th of this month.
The Gagamel boss revealed that he has already invested over UGX 2.56 billion (approximately $700,000) in the production of the album. The funds have covered songwriting, production, mastering, and support for his team both within and outside Uganda.
The project was produced and mixed in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Despite this significant investment, Bebe Cool says he needs an additional UGX 7.3 billion (around $2 million) to effectively promote the album on a global scale.
He is appealing to President Museveni to provide the necessary financial support to help him take Ugandan music to international audiences.
“It takes a lot of money to create quality music. I’ve spent about $700,000 so far, but I’ll need over $2 million to promote this album worldwide. I’m counting on the President to support me,” he said.

Bebe Cool hopes Break the Chains will help elevate Uganda’s music industry and serve as a catalyst for other artists to invest more seriously in their craft.
