Ugandan music icon and philanthropist Moses Ssali, known to fans as Bebe Cool, has officially launched his much-anticipated album, “Break The Chains.”
The star-studded release party was held at the upscale Noni Vie Lounge, drawing top names from Uganda’s music industry, key stakeholders, and the elite of Kampala.

The elegant listening event was co-hosted by renowned Nigerian media figure Adesope Olajide (Shopsydoo / Energy Gawd) and NBS TV’s Viana Indi.
Celebrated DJ Slick Stuart kept the energy high with seamless transitions throughout the night as guests were treated to an exclusive preview of the album.
During an engaging Q&A session, Adesope and Bebe Cool walked the audience through the inspiration and creative process behind each track. At the stroke of midnight, a dazzling fireworks display lit up the Kampala sky, marking the official release of the album.
“Break The Chains”, now available on major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and YouTube Music, sees Bebe Cool exploring Afrocentric genres like Afrobeats and Afrotech a futuristic blend of Afro house and electronic dance music rooted in South Africa.
The album features 16 tracks packed with lush production, heartfelt melodies, and Bebe Cool’s signature gritty vocals.
“This is the beginning of a new chapter not just for me, but for African and Ugandan music as a whole,” Bebe Cool said. “With this album, I’m shifting focus from concert crowds and piracy to building real numbers on streaming platforms.”
One of the night’s standout moments was the debut of Cheque, a collaboration with fast-rising Ugandan star Joshua Baraka joined Bebe Cool on stage, expressing his gratitude: “I grew up watching Bebe Cool. Being part of this album is a huge honor. Thank you for this opportunity.”
The album also boasts a powerful collaboration with Nigerian superstar Yemi Alade, showcasing Bebe Cool’s drive to merge local and continental sounds.
Ugandan music royalty, including Juliana Kanyomozi, Azawi, Cindy, Apass, and legendary producer Benon Mugumbya of Swangz Avenue, attended the launch and shared glowing reviews.
