Celebrated Ugandan artist Abdul Mulaasi has stunned fans with a dramatic revelation, his rise in the music industry was actually a front for a much more secretive role as an undercover government agent.

In an open interview with a popular YouTuber, Abdul Mulaasi disclosed that his involvement in covert operations began during the early days of President Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Army (NRA).

“I was active during the NRA takeover and stayed involved in army operations,” he revealed.

Even after transitioning into music and gaining widespread fame, Mulaasi maintained his undercover identity.

“I was still working undercover when I became a star. No one knew,” he said.

He went on to describe the intense security measures that surrounded him throughout his career.

“I always had at least five security officers. Two would be on stage with me during performances, while the others stayed hidden backstage,” he said.

His confession has sparked a wave of curiosity, disbelief, and admiration across the country, with many fans expressing shock at the double life he led.

Eventually, Mulaasi chose to end his service and requested retirement from the military.

His music journey began remarkably early. At just six years old, he recorded songs like Charging and Omusono Gwa Mungu. By the age of 18, he had released Farm, cementing his status as a key figure in Uganda’s music scene.

However, his early success also came with challenges he faced exploitation by managers and promoters due to his age. In response, he founded his own label, Light Production, to take full control of his music and career.

Mulaasi’s story continues to unfold, captivating audiences with its extraordinary mix of fame, secrecy, and resilience.
