Renowned South Africa-based Ugandan socialite and businesswoman, Zari Hassan, has addressed the recent incident where her car was clamped at Paradigm Bar and Lounge, a new hotspot in Kampala.
It was initially rumored that the bar clamped her car because she failed to pay her bar bills after a night out.
However, Zari took to Snapchat to refute these claims, explaining that her car was clamped because she had parked in front of the bar’s gate, which has restricted access.
Zari clarified that her car had battery issues, and it was parked at the hangout’s parking area while waiting for her husband, Shakib Cham, to fix it in the morning. The car was clamped because it was blocking the gate.
She criticized those spreading false rumors about her inability to pay bar bills, emphasizing that her businesses are running smoothly and she is more than capable of settling her bills.
“When you no longer have dirt on someone, you start making up stories to satisfy your empty souls. The car had battery issues, so it was left at the spot. My husband had to get a new battery to move it in the morning. The clamping was due to parking right in front of the gate, restricting access.
Those who think I can’t afford to pay my bills need to know that my businesses are thriving. Your stories don’t even add up. Yes, I no longer frequent bars as I used to because I have grown and now prioritize other things. Clout doesn’t suit me as an international and successful businesswoman, not a socialite chasing trends. Priorities, darlings!” she noted.
