Masaka-based businessman and socialite Emmanuel Lwasa has announced his intention to convert from Christianity to Islam this Friday. He also plans to adopt a new Muslim name—Acram.
According to Lwasa, his decision is inspired by a new romantic relationship with a Muslim woman who has brought him happiness and renewed purpose.
Deeply smitten, he says her faith has influenced him to take this significant step.
Known for his impulsive romantic gestures, Lwasa has a history of making bold moves for love. In one instance, he famously organized an introduction ceremony, only to discover that the woman had deceived him and the event never existed.
Despite past disappointments, he insists that this time is different. He acknowledges the weight of converting to Islam but says he’s ready to embrace the change wholeheartedly.
“I will convert to Islam on Friday because I’ve found true love with a Muslim woman.I know it’s not easy, but I’m ready to sacrifice everything for love.”,he said.
