Speculation has been rife about Zambaali Bulasio Mukasa’s political ambitions, with many suggesting he would run for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
Now, the well-known media personality has officially confirmed these rumors, announcing that he will be vying for the position of Member of Parliament for Nasana Municipality.
Mukasa also revealed that he will be contesting under the banner of the National Unity Platform (NUP).

He made the announcement at a rally in Kawempe, which saw the attendance of numerous NUP supporters, including party president Robert Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine, who was also rallying support for the party’s candidate, Elias Nalukoola.

Mukasa is aiming to unseat the current MP for Nasana, Wakayima Musoke. However, his path to victory will not be easy, as he faces strong competition for the NUP ticket from several contenders, including musician Big Eye, NUP activist Serukuma John Bosco, and the incumbent, Wakayima Musoke.
