Shyroota, the former girlfriend of popular R&B artist Vyroota, was arrested on Monday and remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Authorities have confirmed she is facing charges related to cyber harassment and computer misuse.
According to local reports, rising musician Lucky Jo played a key role in prompting the arrest, after receiving a series of abusive messages from Shyroota earlier this month.
In June, Lucky Jo filed a police report claiming Shyroota had targeted her with offensive remarks, which also extended to her family members and the Itesot community.
“Teso ladies, I am smarter than you all. You cannot handle him like I can. Lucky Jo is the love of my life right now. You should move on and enjoy your atampa in peace, because you Itesots are not on my level,” Shyroota reportedly said at the time.
The incident has sparked a mixed reaction online. While some social media users have condemned her actions, others are calling for her release, suggesting that her comments were part of a TikTok performance rather than serious threats.
Shyroota rose to public attention last year after claiming she had unprotected sex with Vyroota and that the singer allegedly pressured her into having an abortion.
