African film industry is saddened by the unexpected death of renowned Nollywood actor, John Okafor alisa Mr Ibu, as new details emerge about the cause of his passing.
According to circulating reports, Mr Ibu passes way on Saturday 2nd March 2024 afternoon after he was moved to the intensive care Unit ( ICU) at Evercare Hospital ,Lekki a few days ago.
He died of Cardiac arrest at age of 62 after he had relapse about a week ago and was rushed to one of hospitals in Lagos for treatment.
It should be recalled, last year, Mr Ibu underwent emergency surgery to remove one of his legs after soliciting help and prayers from his fans and well- wishers.
His death followed the demise of his colleague Sisi Quadri,who passed away on Friday.
The funeral and burial arrangements are yet to be communicated but his fans allover the world are currently conveying their messages of condolences through diverse channels.
