Hajjat Faridah Stecia Mayanja has opened up about a tense encounter with fellow singer Carol Nantongo, which nearly turned physical when she tried to apologize for past misunderstandings.
In a recent interview, Stecia Mayanja revealed that before embarking on her pilgrimage to Mecca, she made a point of seeking forgiveness from those she may have wronged one of whom was Carol Nantongo.
She recounted that the opportunity to speak with Carol arose backstage at an event where both were set to perform.
When Stecia approached her calmly and attempted to make peace, Carol reportedly ignored her efforts. As Stecia tried to take her hand to speak more directly, Carol reacted by shoving her, causing a brief commotion backstage.
Onlookers quickly intervened to defuse the situation. Despite the chaos, Stecia managed to convey her apology before heading on stage to perform.
The feud between the two artists reportedly stems from an earlier incident in which Stecia donated some of her clothes to new members of Eagles Production. Carol allegedly accused her of using witchcraft, going as far as burning the clothes, claiming they were cursed to hinder the new artists’ careers.
