Ugandan songstress Sophie Nantongo has turned up the heat in her long-standing rivalry with fellow diva Catherine Kusasira, openly challenging her to a music battle and claiming she would easily win.
“I’ve asked Kusasira for a battle before ,one time we even spoke on the phone, and I told her we should do it before my concert. Next thing I knew, she had flown out of the country claiming health issues.”Sophie revealed.
Nantongo didn’t hold back, suggesting Kusasira could be intentionally avoiding the showdown.
“She’s probably scared of what would happen on that stage. That’s why she keeps playing hide and seek.”,Sophie said
Despite the competitive vibe, Sophie says their rivalry has always been friendly—but she’s ready to settle the score once and for all.
“We’ve always had a healthy back-and-forth. But if she knows she can’t match me, she can just come to me quietly, admit defeat, and we’ll let it go.”,Sophie added.
Looks like the ball is now in Kusasira’s court,will she rise to the challenge or keep dodging the spotlight?
