When it comes to entertainment, Uganda as a country is entirely comprised of different music genres and musicians that top their games in different music styles.
With Rappers, Bands and vocalists, here we take you through some of the best vocalists in Uganda’s music industry.
1. Liam Voice
Real names Zisabusolo Willy, Liam voice is a Ugandan singer, songwriter and vocalist known for his soul touching love songs.
Liam Voice released his breakthrough song known as ‘Bus’ in 2020 which was a tribute true story message song, the song was loved and earned him a huge fan base and he since then never looked back, went on to release more hit-songs including Omwoyo, Bwerere, Fly away, Maria and collaborated with other different artists among others.
2. Vyroota
Real names Musigazi Abdul Aziz, Vyroota was born in 2003 in Kireka and he is also a versatile artist, a vocalist, does RnB and dancehall music.
He kicked off his career with several hit songs including Mapeesa, Twafuna, Maria among others.
3. An Known
A Ugandan RnB and Contemporary singer, songwriter, guitarist and performer who was born in Entebbe.
He is famously known for his hit melodic songs including Mutima, tonelabira, Radio call, Doctor to mention but a few.
4. Victor Ruz
Real names Wajja Victor and professionally known as Victor Ruz, he is a Ugandan RnB Afrobeat artist, vocalist and songwriter.
He is believed to have put out his first music Album Simple19 which had 16 tracks including Chosen Becky song dubbed Akwagala and his singles Nali Naloba, Healer, among others.
5. Dre Cali
Born on 23rd February 1995, real names Stephen Andrew Katende, Dre Cali is a Ugandan vocalist, songwriter who kicked off his music career and fame in 2019 after his hit song Zig Zaga and was selected signed under Ykee Benda’s Mpaka Records.
He then released more hitsongs including Evisooka ne’bisembayo, did collaborations with other music artists like Lydia Jasmine’s Onanagiza among others.
6. Zulitums
Sam Semwogerere better known for his stage names Zulitums, begun his music journey as an artist in 2011 and released his debut song titled’Tabu’ on May 27th 2020 which quickly made waves hence topping chats and earning him a huge fan base.
He is also known for his other hit songs including Oluvanyuma, Easy, Counting on you among others.
As time goes by, the Ugandan music industry continues to release more promising talented musicians which also is hyping the industry towards international charts and recognition.
