Faded Ugandan socialite Bryan Kirumira A. K.A Bryan White, has been arrested and detained at Katwe Police Station following allegations surrounding the death of his girlfriend, Caroline Nalubwama.
According to police reports, the 25-year-old woman sustained critical injuries in a suspected gas explosion at Bryan White’s residence on October 27, 2025, around 3:30 p.m. She was rushed to Kiruddu Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Caroline’s father, Mutyaba Tom (52), reported the matter to Katwe Police the same evening at 9:00 p.m., prompting authorities to open case file DEF 73/2025.
A post-mortem was conducted at City Mortuary Mulago, while homicide detectives, forensic experts, and fire investigators examined the scene. They recovered burnt clothes and partially damaged curtains, but noted that the room had minimal fire damage, casting doubt on the claim of a gas explosion.
Bryan White, who also sustained injuries in the incident, is currently admitted at Mildmay Hospital in Lweza, Wakiso District. Police have since recorded his statement and issued a PF3 medical form as part of the ongoing investigations. Preliminary findings reveal that Caroline had been living in one of the rooms at White’s home, though the explosion reportedly occurred in another.
Detectives also discovered that Bryan White’s residence contains multiple shrines guarded by military police, adding a new layer of intrigue to the case. Investigators are now probing inconsistencies in the timeline, as Bryan White claims the explosion happened around 7:00 p.m., while hospital records indicate Caroline died at 4:30 p.m. Authorities suspect the scene may have been tampered with before police arrived.
CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to establish the true sequence of events. Meanwhile, police have urged anyone with credible information to come forward to aid the investigation.
As inquiries continue, the case has sparked widespread public concern and calls for a transparent probe to determine whether Caroline’s death was a tragic accident or an act of foul play. Police have pledged to share further updates as new evidence emerges.
