Police in Kampala are searching for controversial musician Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, following his alleged involvement in a suspected murder and violent assault at Nsambya Hospital on Tuesday night.
A viral video circulating online shows individuals, believed to be members of Alien Skin’s gang, known as “Eggaali,” in a violent confrontation with hospital staff over the death of their associate.
According to reports, Joram “Jerome” Tumwesigye, a 28-year-old resident of Makindye Division and member of the Fangone Forest gang, was brought to Nsambya Hospital by six unidentified individuals after sustaining injuries in a car crash.
Though the exact details of the crash remain unclear, it is reported that Jerome lost control of the vehicle he was driving before crashing into a perimeter wall.
Jerome was rushed to the hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead about an hour after arrival.
Following his death, Alien Skin and his gang members allegedly became aggressive, demanding answers from medical staff regarding the circumstances surrounding Jerome’s passing.
Deputy Police Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed in a statement that Alien Skin was involved in the incident.
“One individual, identified by witnesses as Alien Skin, reportedly demanded medical forms from the attending doctor. When his request was denied, the suspect and his group allegedly assaulted the doctor and two security guards before fleeing the scene,” Owoyesigyire stated.
The victims of the assault were identified as Dr. Zaidi Matovu and security guards Anthony Muyanda and Alex Odongo, all employees of Nsambya Hospital.
The police are now focusing on identifying and apprehending Alien Skin and the members of his gang, who are believed to be linked to both the suspected murder and the violent attack.
“We are working tirelessly to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice,” Owoyesigyire added, appealing to the public for any information that may help in locating the suspects.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, especially on social media, where many Ugandans are calling for the arrest of Alien Skin and his associates.
In recent months, the singer, known for his hit song “Sitya Danger,” has been involved in several controversies, including violent clashes with critics and rival artists.
