singer Shakira Shakiraa, born Shakira Kamulegeya Kyebalaba, has spoken out in response to rumors suggesting she’s romantically involved with multiple men.
Speculation arose after Shakiraa received two luxurious cars from an undisclosed partner, leading many online to assume that several men were funding her lavish lifestyle.
However, during a recent media interview, Shakira clarified the situation, revealing that she has been in a committed relationship with the same man for the past five years ever since she returned to Uganda to focus on her music career.
“I don’t play men. You can call me anything, but not a player. That’s not who I am,I’m a one-man woman. When I’m in a relationship, I give it my all. Some may call it clingy, but I focus on one person. He’s the only one who knows me deeply, and I love only him. Temptations come, but I stay loyal.”,she said.
Shakira added that she avoids romantic drama, not only to protect her personal brand but also for the sake of her seven-year-old daughter, who lives in the U.S.
Despite being in a committed relationship, she maintains a cordial co-parenting relationship with her child’s father.
“He sends money and takes care of his daughter. My boyfriend also supports both of us. When a man loves you, he should love your child too, my daughter knows my boyfriend and calls him as well as any other man around me ‘uncle.’”,she explained.
