National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, has reported that security forces recently raided his recreational facility, One Love Beach, located in Busabala.

Kyagulanyi took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to share that security agencies forcibly broke through the gates of the popular beach premises and entered the facility.

During the operation, the facility’s CCTV systems were reportedly disabled, preventing any video documentation of the events.

In his statement, Kyagulanyi claimed that armed personnel rounded up employees, and some were targeted with tear gas as they sought refuge in the kitchen area. The exact number of employees detained or injured during the raid has not been confirmed.

“Police and military have raided our premises at One Love Beach-Busabala, broken the gates and entered by force. Our CCTV cameras have been cut off, and our employees are being rounded up,” Kyagulanyi wrote.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of the staff and the nature of the operation.

Authorities have not yet provided an official explanation for the raid, and attempts to reach police and military representatives for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publication but we shall keep updated for more information.
