Mumbere, who has faced treason charges since his 2016 arrest, expressed appreciation to President Yoweri Museveni for facilitating his travel and offering continued support.

Addressing growing speculation about his health, the king dismissed false social media claims suggesting he was unable to walk or eat.

“I have not been feeling well lately and have decided to seek further medical attention in Turkey.“I want to thank President Museveni for allowing me to travel. I’ve seen reports saying I’m on a stretcher or cannot eat or walk — that’s not true. I’m seeking medical review, but I remain on my feet and not in critical condition. I am confident I will return stronger.”Mumbere said.
