Ugandan rapper Rickman Manrick real name Derrick Ddungu has finally spoken out on his relationship status, confirming that he is fully single and not dating anyone at the moment despite the constant rumours tying him to different women.
Speaking in a recent interview, the “Bango” hitmaker clarified that his situationship with Promise Ateete ended over a year ago, even though fans believed the two were still romantically involved.
“I would say we had a platonic relationship, but right now I’m single,” he said.
The two once sparked heavy speculation after travelling to Zanzibar, but Rickman says people shouldn’t read too much into it. According to him, life and love are to be enjoyed even if certain connections don’t last.
As fresh gossip tries to link him to TikToker Gia Nina, Rickman also shut that down, explaining that their bond is nothing romantic.
“Gia Nina has been a good friend of mine for long. I think since 2022. She was in my video as well,” he clarified.
On the bright side, Rickman says he’s been locked in the studio and is gearing up to release a new album soon.
